#OurClimate AGender
An initiative aiming to better understand gender justice and its intersection with the climate justice movement in South Africa, by enhancing inclusivity of underrepresented groups and communities in discussions and policies related to the just energy transition.

Why Gender and Climate?
There is a pressing need to integrate stronger gender perspectives across our policy debates and partnerships within the climate justice movement to ensure that women, marginalised genders, and underrepresented voices – particularly from the global south – are heard and valued in climate leadership and policy making.

Whats on the AGender:
Throughout we hope to co-develop and roll-out an array of dynamic and engaging activities that will achieve the hopes of this initiative. Some of these are:

Improve knowlegde and build capacity of our organisational team, our movement-building partners
Item 2
Host open space dialogues to building awareness and education with youth and communities
Item 3:
Support women and marginalised groups to attend local and national public engagements
Item 4:
Inspire and mobilise society to champion gender and climate justice through artivism and protest
